Hello everyone,

I hope everybody had a wonderful break! This is the time of the year where most people gain a couple of extra pounds of love, happiness, drinks, and turkey - I hope you are ready to get back to class!

First of all, I would like to say how proud I am of each of you. Getting up early to go train can be difficult, and all of you worked very hard this year. It is rewarding to see result of our hard work - everyone is stronger and leaner, as well as more agile, toned and flexible. Our cardio has also improved - but now it is time to bring it on again!

For the next year, I plan to step it up even more by adding additional classes, nutritional advice, and new exercises to enhance your overall well-being.

1. Additional classes:

There will now be 4 classes per week for you to choose from:

Mon/Wed/Fri 9:30 - 10:30
Saturday 9:00 - 9:50

As usual you can come up to 3x/week. To come 4x /week will only cost you an extra $20 a month - that's only $5 for each additional class! So make sure to let me know if you wish to come an additional day a week so I can upgrade your account.

2. Nutrition:

We will also be doing the following free assessments so that you can keep track of your own progress (participation is optional):

1. Body fat
2. BMI (Body Mass Index)
3. RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate: the amount of calories that your body burns at rest)

Advice and knowledge on nutrition, fat burning, and protein intake will be shared so that you can make informed decisions about your health.

3. Exercises:

While we will continue to work with weights and bands to increase your personal fitness, I would also like to add two additional elements to our workout: self-defense and Tai Chi. My goal is for you to be fit, healthy, safe and able to relax. I will incorporate more target training and applications of self defense techniques in each class so that you will be able to defend and protect yourself if the need ever arises. Furthermore, I know that each of you have very full lives and busy schedules - I would like to share my knowledge of Tai Chi as well as breathing and relaxation techniques to aid you in stress management and to enhance your overall well-being.
